About Wyoming Department of Corrections

This all essentially started back in November of 1990 when the residents of the great state of Wyoming voted to cancel what was known as the Philanthropies and Change movement. It would then create several things happening one right after the other. It was a never-ending task for lawmakers and officials. It would end up requiring at least twelve different places to either be moved or closed under these hefty changes. Then it was the boards job to finally pick five officials. These officials were the following:
  • Director of Open Guidance
  • Secretary of State
  • Senator
  • State Reviewer
  • State Treasurer
It would not truly be until 1991, when the Department of Corrections Wyoming accepted their administration. It took them a bit to get the right people to be able to run this newly redone department.
