El Reno Federal Prison or also known as the El Reno Federal Prison is a medium-security federal facility.

The El Reno Federal Prison is situated in El Reno, Oklahoma. Adjacent to the El Reno Federal Prison is a minimum-security satellite prison camp. The El Reno Federal Prison also runs this minimum-security satellite prison camp.

This minimum-security satellite prison camp is home to 79 male offenders. The El Reno Federal Prison is home to over 1172 male offenders.

Within the El Reno Federal Prison, there are three housing units. These housing units are known as Unit A, Unit B, and Unit C.

The El Reno Federal Prison sits on 700 acres of land. The main campus at the El Reno Federal Prison has two 16-foot fences encompassing the facility that is topped with razor wire. Alongside these fences, there are also motion detection system and two roving patrol cars.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

The El Reno Federal Prison has two different types of mail when it comes to incoming mail to the facility.

The mail that you and your friends and family will send will be labeled as general mail. What is general mail, you may ask?

Common mail that will be opened not in the presence of an inmate. This mail is typically only sent by the family and friends of the inmates.

The other type of mail is special mail. This mail will be opened in front of the inmate. This mail is typically mail that the inmate gets from their legal counsel.

Sending Money

While the El Reno Federal Prison gives an inmate three meals a day, inmates will still need money to purchase other items from the prison’s commissary.

You will have the chance to send funds by mailing a money order, using MoneyGram or even Western Union.

Using MoneyGram and Western Union will incur a fee.

Phone calls

You will never be able to get in contact with an inmate via telephone, if you try to call. The El Reno Federal Prison will NOT allow you to leave a phone message for an inmate either.

Inmates will have to make a call to you via telephone. Inmates will be permitted to have a standard 15-minute phone call with you.

Visitation

The visitation hours for the main campus at El Reno Federal Prison and the minimum-security satellite prison camp are the same.

Prior to visiting, you will need to fill out the visitor’s application.
