The St. Mary’s County Detention Center is a medium-security county detention center located in Leonardtown, Maryland. The St. Mary’s County Detention Center is operated under the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Visitation

Before you visit an inmate, you will want to contact the St. Mary's County Detention Center to ensure that the inmate is in the facility and not appearing in court.

Inmates will be allowed to visit two visitors per day. Visitors are welcomed to visit an inmate in the St. Mary's County Detention Center daily from 9 am to 6 pm.

All visits in the St. Mary's County Detention Center will be behind a glass wall. You will not be permitted to have ANY contact with the inmate. Not even a quick handshake.
