Sending a Mail/Care Package

Edmonson County Jail allows incoming and outgoing mail.

All mail should be addressed to the inmate along with having the sender's return address.

The Edmonson County Jail will NOT accept packages.

All mail that is coming from the inmate’s legal counsel will be opened in front of the inmate it is addressed to. All general mail will be opened, but not in the presence of the inmate.

The Edmonson County Jail also uses Prodigy Inmate Phones as well. This service is not free. This service will need to be paid for. Inmates can move money from their commissary account and put it in their phone account to use this service, if they decide to not make collect calls.


Visits at the Edmonson County Jail will be limited to 15 minutes. Visitation schedule goes by housing units. You will need to know what housing unit the inmate you are looking to visit is in.

When an inmate is booked and processed into the Edmonson County Jail, they will have to fill out a visitation list. On the visitation list, they can only mark down four people. Inmates will be allowed to make changes to this visitation list once every 30 calendar days.
