About Kansas Department of Corrections

The Kansas Department of Corrections is one of the major departments within the Kansas State Government. As it should be noted the Kansas Department of Corrections is the main department that handles all parolees, people on probation and people within a state-operated building. This is a big undertaking for the department. But, that’s all good since the Department of Corrections has thousands upon thousands of people that work closely with them to ensure that the department is meeting their goals and quota. The Department of Corrections in Kansas has brought many jobs for the people who call Kansas home. Most of the jobs is being a correctional officer or a parole and probation officer, but you can also find administrative type of positions as well in either the prisons or an office throughout the state. However, in 2019, the state of Kansas and their Department of Corrections has over 600 offenders that are serving time in a state facility in Arizona. They are also looking to transfer at least 10 percent of their offender population out of state as well.
